This stuff makes me sick.
Someone sent me a picture of a bus with a sign on it . . The sign said:
"Science flies us to the Moon"
"Religion flies us into buildings"

for me there are many obvious issues, but the big one is......... the big daddy of the universe, the father of all this incredible creation, is not about to annihilate everybody who is not a member of this late 1800's american religion, jehovah's witnesses.. that's it for me.. what is your big issue?.
1: the tearing apart of families; mine in particular.
2: the demonizing of higher education.
one of mine:.

"One Second After" by Forstchen. I could not put it down, scared the hell out of me.
From Booklist:
In a Norman Rockwell town in North Carolina, where residents rarely lock homes, retired army colonel John Matherson teaches college, raises two daughters, and grieves the loss of his wife to cancer. When phones die and cars inexplicably stall, Grandma’s pre-computerized Edsel takes readers to a stunning scene on the car-littered interstate, on which 500 stranded strangers, some with guns, awaken John’s New Jersey street-smart instincts to get the family home and load the shotgun. Next morning, some townspeople realize that an electromagnetic pulse weapon has destroyed America’s power grid, and they proceed to set survival priorities. John’s list includes insulin for his type-one diabetic 12-year-old, candy bars, and sacks of ice. Deaths start with heart attacks and eventually escalate alarmingly. Food becomes scarce, and societal breakdown proceeds with inevitable violence; towns burn, and ex-servicemen recall “Korea in ’51” as military action by unlikely people becomes the norm in Forstchen’s sad, riveting cautionary tale, the premise of which Newt Gingrich’s foreword says is completely possible. --Whitney Scott

it's four pages, seems to long to cut and paste.
but worth reading, we aren't alone.

Back in the 70s I read Dianetics and talked to some Scientologists in Boston. They reminded me too much of the JWs and my scam-o-meter was pegged.
I read that NY Times article and found many of the similarities with the Watchtower to be absolutely creepy. The wotld would be a better place without destructive organizations like these.
it's the same crap different name.
i love porsche, but it's time to come up with some new innovative designs guys..... .

"Looking for a 912 to restore someday, any advise on best year, 66 - 71?"
69 or 70, they will be pre-emissions and will not have the ungainly 5-mph bumpers legislated in the US in 71. Almost bought a 69 a few years back but already had two projects ongoing.

Porsche is still making some great cars, the Boxster and the 911 are classics. When I get back to work (soon I hope) I plan on shopping for a used Boxter S.
The SUV, Cayman, and Panamera do nothing for me but they are still all Porsche engineering. The SUV was developed for two reasons . . SUVs were HOT and still are good sellers, and they used the SUV to develop new engine and suspension technology, said technology has been rumored to be for a re-introduction of the 928 marque. Car and Driver tested a Cayenne S against a 911 and were stunned to find that the SUV could do laps on par with the 911.
I own a '87 924S (Basicly a narrow body 944) it's a blast to drive.
I also own a 1991 944S2 that I purchased with a badly broken engine. I put a 375 HP 1997 Corvette LT1 in it, 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. It is my Friday night street-fighter Rice-Boy terminator. Licence plate reads "U-LOSE"
I also own a 1980 924 Turbo project that is about half done, I am doing a 924 GT conversion to it.
i am a support worker for adults with profound disabilities and some with autism and i love caring for people ..
Field Engineer and GIS Analyst at my real job
I Build Hybrid Porsches as my hobby . . I put American Chevrolet V8s in 944s/968s and 911s

hey folks, so i figured i'd give an update on the ongoing back and forths between myself and e-watchman.
this might help if you come in contact with the argument about jehovah's witnesses not giving to everyone but only to other jehovah's witnesses.
i also have one regarding why jehovah's witnesses are considered god's chosen people after splintering from associated bible students and finally a bunch regarding homosexuality in nature.
Tim, I admire you for the energy you put into these videos. I especially liked your rebuttal to e-watchmans response. Keep up the good work! I have experienced much more ~real~ charity from worldly people I didn't even know than from my 30+ years in the Kult. JW charity has hooks in it and is conditional.
Peace be with you.
Were you in New Orleans after Katrina?
i joined a long time ago but never did much with it... wasn't really impressed back then.
a colleague suggested i check it out again...and whoa... how far they have come!
i found very hard to find contacts at firms i call on... professional organizations with discussions and resources and lots more!
Yep, use it for Professional Contacts and Networking. Good Stuff!
